Dear Grant Youth Football Families,

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect our community and the world in ways we could have never imagined.  During this unprecedented time we hope you and your loved ones are remaining safe and healthy.

We want to acknowledge that the COVID-19 virus has created uncertainty in many ways for all of us.  While planning for a youth football season that starts on schedule and follows a typical timeline, we have prepared for contingencies that range from a late start, a shortened season, and a worst-case scenario of a canceled 2020 season. We are in close contact with Tualatin Valley Youth Football League (TVYFL), Portland Interscholastic League (PIL), and the Grant High School coaching staff so that we wil be prepared to react to guidance and regulations that would impact our 2020 season.

Here is our current plan for the Grant Youth Football Program:

  • Player Registration: Registration is now open for 3-4 rookie-tackle football, 5-6 tackle football, and  7-8 tackle football.  To register your athlete, please CLICK HERE and follow the instructions to register.

  • Registration Fees:  Acknowledging that an uncertain future has created some economic uncertainty for many families, we have modified the way we will collect fees this year:
    • $50 Deposit.  At the time of registration, we are asking only for a $50 deposit.  The deposit will be fully refundable if the season is canceled, but will reserve your athlete a spot in the Fall 2020 season.
    • Assuming we are able to proceed with a 2020 football season, per-player fees for 2020 are:
      • $180 (less $50 deposit) = $130 balance due by the beginning of the season, currently set for August 1, 2020.
      • Full and partial scholarships are also available. Grant Youth Football is an all-inclusive program - Please email Josh Haley (jhaley@pps.net) if you require a scholarship.
      • For those that would still like to make an additional donation we are asking for a $100 Tax-Deductible gift to Grant Youth Football to assist in fundraising to cover additional costs such as TYVFL dues, officials, insurance, and other operating costs.  Other dollar amounts are graciously accepted.

  • Coaches and Team Parents:  Coaches and team parents are still needed! If you have interest, please let us know.

We look forward to seeing you and your athletes on the gridiron soon, and wish you health and well-being in the meantime.

Sincerely,

The Grant Youth Football Coaching Staff
